The Craft and Hobby Association picked March as National Craft Month. In celebration, I am revisiting some of the projects I have posted over the last five years.
When it comes to sewing, my mom taught me a little and then every thing else I taught myself by trying projects on my sewing machine. I have never taken a class, not that I wouldn’t benefit from one, but I enjoy the challenge of being self-taught.
Fabric Luggage Tag – one of the few posts that I included a tutorial instead of just posting a photo and talking about the project.
Tabletop Ironing Board (Mat) – in lieu of an ironing board, this works well for ironing on a tabletop
Netbook Cover – When I bought my netbook two years ago, there weren’t many covers so I made my own.
Drawstring Skirt – this was the first project I completed when I got my new sewing machine. Made from a pattern from a book (click through for title).
I have more (easy) sewing projects that I’ll feature in an upcoming posts.

March 7, 2011 at 12:54 pmI love the bag for the computer. I am not much into accessories but my computer has a mind of its own. That design reminds me of Vera Bradley. Every woman in my family has many. Nice design.

March 7, 2011 at 9:47 pmI have one Vera Bradley duffel and quite like its size. I really like being able to sew my own solutions and if I could have made a large travel bag, I would have!
