It’s not every Tuesday evening that I wear false eyelashes, but I’m learning to shake things up! To celebrate Puffs Virtual Kisses campaign, which benefits Dress for Success, a few of us headed to High Five Salon in O’Bryonville. As you might expect there were drinks and nibbles, but I didn’t know I would end the evening with so many compliments about my eyes and soft curls!
You know you need to spend a little more time on your look when you post a photo to your social media outlets and your friends give you compliments like “holy smokes, you look amazing!”
As I admitted to Nancy of Brideface, I need help when it comes to makeup. As if was meant to be, she said she offers makeup consultations. I’m on it!
Then Sam, the salon owner, held court and taught us how to use a flat iron to create curls in my hair (and my hair needs about an half can of hair spray to hold said curls). As someone who loves reclaimed materials, I asked about the walls and learned they are fence from a local property.
Amelia, who can be seen in the above background, was my wonderful host encouraging me to visit the makeup and hair stations and I appreciate her nudge of encouragement otherwise I would have stood around watching others.
His styling station was something straight after a flea market lover’s heart! And here’s a better look at those walls.
It was a wonderful night of pampering to celebrate a great cause. If you would like to send a virtual kiss to the loved one, log on to Puffs’ Facebook page and pick your kiss! For every kiss sent, the tissue brand will donate $1 to Dress for Success.
Oh yeah, this may just look like facial tissues to you, but as an allergy sufferer this is the best swag ever!
Thank you to P&G for remembering Cincinnati bloggers and inviting me to your Puffs Kisses event! Thank you to Sam of High Five Salon and Nancy of Brideface for giving my hair and makeup the attention I don’t always give it.
