Make It: U of Dayton Sports Wreath

UDaytonwreath

Inspired by a UK fan’s wreath on Instagram, I pulled out my supplies and created my own University of Dayton wreath!

Styrofoam form is wrapped in strips of burlap. Then, I used red gingham, blue grid (old PJs) and white fabric to create flowers. To make the flowers, do a search and find plenty of tutorials for rosettes and fabric flowers. The felt letters were ironed to white felt and glued to another strip of burlap, which was glued to a navy ribbon. I pinned the banner because thinking ahead to Fourth of July, a quick banner swap and I can repurpose this wreath for a few days.

After I hung it up and backed out of the driveway, I realized you can’t really see how beautiful it is because the burlap blends in with my door. Hopefully the mailperson and solicitors who never get an answer enjoy looking at it!
