Make It: Itty Bitty Little Books, Food & Toys

Yesterday, I enjoyed learning about mininature books and the Urban Fairy Doors in Ann Arbor, MI.

Then, I was blown away by the cutest of the entries to Craftster’s latest craft challenge: A Bite to Eat entry, which reminds me of my food magnets EXCEPT this is real food on a tray, made teeny tiny! Also, I liked Itty Bitty Bead Maze.

Thanks for all those interesting links to mini-things! My favorite mini-item lately has been those matchbook notepads. I keep them in my purse along with the free pencils you get at Ikea so I can jot down cash purchases. I have a pocket in my purse so I don’t get stabbed by the pencil when rummaging though my purse.

In case you doubted my geekiness, I will reveal here that I actually collect miniature books. My faves are the “micro-minis”, which are under an inch.

Before The Kid, I used to buy myself old mini books from a rare book dealer for my b-day. Now I am good and don’t spend that kind of money on myself.
