Fall makes me think of my mom and today is her birthday so this post is for her.
My goal once the pool closed for summer was to make a fall wreath for my front door. Ambitious, I know, but I like to set achievable goals.
I picked up a styrofoam wreath form at Michaels with a 40% coupon because I refuse to pay full price for those things and sherbert orange yarn.
Then, I spent a couple nights watching season three of Drop Dead Diva on DVD and wrapping yarn around the styrofoam wreath until it was covered. I thought about making fall-color rosettes, but I didn’t have any felt so I stopped after hanging it up by a brown ribbon.
The ultimate purpose of my wreaths? To tell visitors, look for the house with the orange wreath.
