Make It: Fall Wreath

orange and brown fall wreath

Fall makes me think of my mom and today is her birthday so this post is for her.

My goal once the pool closed for summer was to make a fall wreath for my front door. Ambitious, I know, but I like to set achievable goals.

I picked up a styrofoam wreath form at Michaels with a 40% coupon because I refuse to pay full price for those things and sherbert orange yarn.

Then, I spent a couple nights watching season three of Drop Dead Diva on DVD and wrapping yarn around the styrofoam wreath until it was covered. I thought about making fall-color rosettes, but I didn’t have any felt so I stopped after hanging it up by a brown ribbon.

The ultimate purpose of my wreaths? To tell visitors, look for the house with the orange wreath.

Orange you glad that you took the time to make it? Looks cute! My plan was to make a monster wreath…instead I bought a cute felt witch tonight at Walmart for $3.98. I’m a lazy girl but it looks cute. Happy Birthday to your mom!
