The Craft and Hobby Association picked March as National Craft Month. In celebration, I am revisiting some of the projects I have posted over the last five years.

If you want to try sewing, start with easy projects as in sewing with fabric that is already measured and cut so basically you’re are just assembling. I find clearanced towels and napkins are great for turning into other things. I don’t really need any more purses, but I know some make them from placemats. As you can see, I’m fan of festive table runners!

felt envelope – a piece of felt turns into an envelope for stashing gifts or over-sized cards
plastic bag holder – use an old t leg to create a holder for all your plastic bags so they’re not sprawled out under the kitchen sink
