I had a pair of socks that I really liked, but the elastic was worn out so they would just hang around my legs, under my pants and feel uncomfortable. This rarely happens, normally I wear holes in the heels.
Since these were still in good shape, I decided to cut of the sock at the heal and sew the two cut pieces together. Then, sew one end and fill with rice and stitch up the other end. It is not as long as the width of my door, but it is better than a little draft coming in under the door.
Very simple project I made between working on my weekend recipes.

February 20, 2012 at 10:42 pmThat is a great idea! I have several pr. of wool socks that I hated to throw away (cuz they’d been my favorites!) and now I see I can keep them around after all! And we do need those draft dodgers here in NW Wisconsin for sure. Thanks for the great idea. 🙂
