The Color Run The Happiest 5k on the Planet

Thanks to KIND Snacks, my friend and I did the The Color Run, the Happiest 5k, with 6500 others in Cincinnati near Paul Brown Stadium.

We were asked to share our experience at The Color Run and given the colorful nature of the run, photos are the best way to do that…

I loved seeing all the friends and family doing this together along with strangers taking group shots so everyone could capture their sparkling white before and colorful after photos.

The after party features a stage and music and another chance to get more color as staff shot color packets into the sea of people, which were used for a color wave. Since this is Cincinnati, we did the chicken dance!

No run (or walk) is complete without volunteers who staff the check-in, the water table and clean up. The water is for drinking, you will need to use soap and water to get the color off.

On your way out, you can stop by a blower and get a new hair-do while some of the excess powder blows off!

Thank you KIND Snacks for sponsoring The Color Run and our #KINDawesome experience!

Notes:
Photos on Flickr
The color is cornstarch
You need to wash with soap and water to get it off, don’t forget your ears and blow your nose
We had our phones in zipper bags until the end, which is why there aren’t many photos during the run
You don’t have to be a runner, people slow down to go through the color corrals
It is FUN, the people watching is great!
KIND sponsored our registration because I’m a fan
#KINDawesome is KIND’s hashtag
