Cincinnati/NoKy: About 550,000 without power

More than 525,000 Duke Energy customers remain without power this morning — mostly in Hamilton County, where 270,232 customers are in the dark.

Also without power: 90,109 customers in Butler County, 50,775 in Clermont County and 40,823 in Warren County. In Northern Kentucky, more than 63,000 people are still without power in Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.

Since Sunday’s storm, more than one million customers have been without power at some point, according to Duke Energy’s Web site this morning.

Time Warner Cable, which has 640,000 customers stretching from Cincinnati to Dayton, is working to restore cable service as power is restored, said
spokeswoman Pam McDonald.

“It’s very sporadic,” she said, but most of the cable company’s customers in the Cincinnati area lost service.” The power outages in Dayton area were much smaller than here,” she said.

“Crews are standing by and they will follow Duke Energy as they restore power service in the service area,” she said.

All of which is why I am not posting, but I am tweeting via mobile 🙂
