Upcoming: Prizes to Readers!

Lunch It Punch It is giving away lunch totesHere’s the deal dear readers…

Thanksgiving is a little more than a month away, Lunch It Punch It turns one on January 2 and my birthday falls in between.

To celebrate and to thank you for being a reader, I’ve been gathering up some lunch totes to send out randomly to those readers who have left comments.

To be eligible to win, all you have to do it comment on the site. Comment on upcoming posts, comment on previously published posts. Comment on this post and tell me what you packed for lunch today or last week or tell me what you wish you packed.

I like surprises!

You won’t know when I’ll randomly pick from the comments (those from FM, Lin or our family members are not eligible), but as long as you have a valid email address and can reply to me within 24 hours with your mailing address, you’ll have something coming your way.

Although I love our Twitter and Facebook interactions, they’re not eligible. I would be delighted if you shared this with your friends.

That’s great! Thanks for hosting this giveaway — been following this website for a while, although I’ve never commented before. (unfortunately, I skipped lunch today….wish I had some warm soup)

Sounds like a great incentive to participate in conversations! You sound like you have a ver busy time ahead of you.

I just discovered your site and I love it! I packed leftover pizza yesterday. Tomorrow I will be packing leftover homemade beef stroganoff. My kids packed salami on wheat, grapes, cheetos and a mini candy from their Halloween bags today.

I pack almost everyday – For breakfast Fat free yogurt and a piece of fruit. For lunch – a salad, usually with spring mix, goat cheese, craisins and walnuts. I keep a bottle of fat free cranberry vinaigrette dressing in the office fridge. This time of year I also pick up a container of squash soup at Whole Foods and also have a cup of hot soup.

I keep instant oatmeal, grits and canned soup in a drawer. I try limiting lunch out to save money and cut calories.

If I do eat out, it is never fast food, so I tend to spend more. I love your website and have showed it to colleagues who have said “I’m not going to start a lunch packing challenge with you”.

I love your site. It’s very helpful to me! On Friday I packed bean sprouts, yogurt, and apple slices for lunch. It was wonderful!

Of all the cool lunch totes and containers out there, I still always go back to my recycled glass jars. My husband goes through peanut butter like it’s water, so we always have a surplus. The jars are easy to clean, and I don’t get attached to them—if I forget about one and it gets furry, I can just throw it in the recycling bin.

Recently, I gave myself a pat on the back for bringing a whole back of microwaved popcorn on an all-day excursion. Why I hadn’t thought of this sooner, I do not know.
