True story, my gramma bought my a subscription to Family Circle. If you don’t know me or haven’t read this blog, I am single and childless. My definition of family doesn’t fit Family Circle’s, but I flip through it before tossing it in the recycle bin.

The September issue had a photo a socked sandal. I thought it looked ridicuously, but I’m a librarian who uses that as an excuse to wear ugly, yet, comfortable shoes.

I wanted this photo to post on Tuesday’s Election Day to remind people that it isn’t just fashion that makes a statement, your vote does too. But I’m known for being a day late and a dollar short.
