This week is National Library Week so I decided to highlight some items to encourage others to explore the collection at your library! Seriously, who would have thought we would have a cardio strip DVD? Read on…
Going through the stacks looking for inspiration for our displays, I was surprised to find Carmen Electra’s Aerobic Striptease. I never reviewed that workout here because I was not a fan of Carmen’s giggling throughout the workout, but if you are looking for a similar workout, I would suggest Jeff Costa’s Cardio Striptease Workout. For those who know me in real life, I know you are thinking she does not look like she has ever worked out a day in her life. Let’s remember all the recipes I post on this blog, I am well aware I could do more exercising and less baking!
I have said it before, I love dancing workouts, despite have little to no coordination. But this workout requires very little in the way of a space to move around and moves to master. The instructor, Jeff, is not annoying nor is the music he uses. Most of the moves concentrate on your legs (few squats and lunges) with little arm movement or the arm movements you use do have to be exact.
The bad is that this is a hard workout to find. I took a gamble on buying the 4-disc workout, which includes workout 1 (27 minutes), workout 2 (36 minutes), sexy abs (15 minutes) and fantasy workout (27 minutes), but I have noticed it is out of print now. I once saw it Borders, but I know some of their stores are closing so if you are garage saling and see his DVDs, especially workouts 1 or 2, get them, you will have fun doing the go-go and BLT (you have to get the workout to find out what that move is!).
Note: This review was made possible by my owning or checking material from my local libraries. No compensation was provide to me for this review.
