Monday at the first-floor staff holiday lunch, Dazzlin_Dawn bought in chocolate covered Oreos with crushed Andes mints on top – so delicious!
She prefers Ghirardelli dipping chocolate, but you can melt semi-sweet morsels and create your own dipping chocolate (if you’re dipping fruit, it says use 1 tablespoon of shortening per 2 cups of morsels, anyone know why?) From watching this video at Ghirardelli, they used the baking bar chocolate chopped into small pieces.
Dawn said she places an Oreo on a fork, lowers it into the melted chocolate, places on waxed paper and garnishes with Andes mints. Easy enough!
