I love my S’cool Mate, but I needed more…
When I work evenings I like to pack a warm lunch and with that comes bulky containers. So, I usually use a different lunchbox other that S’cool Mate. The lunch pack I had been using in place of S’cool Mate in the evenings was functional at best. In order to carry this pack it had to be held like a tray and there was always the fear that it would slip off my hand, fall to the floor, and bust my glass! What I needed was a handle on top with the added comfort of more space. Think back to those beautiful colors of the 70’s– burnt orange, avocado green, harvest gold…and remember theTupperware lunchboxes in those colors. My mom had a couple of these lunchbox/ice cream storage containers and I thought one would be perfect for what I needed. The search was on. I found my vintage lunch box on an online auction site and waited out the days to see if it would be mine and now it is! I get a little joy each time I put my lunch together in this box and it “handles” with ease.

January 17, 2011 at 5:52 pmMy mom had one of these once upon a time. Something happened to the handle though, I believe a melting of some sort. No idea how that happened (which usually means I had something to do with it and I’ve blocked it out like so many childhood flubs).

January 17, 2011 at 7:32 pmYeah being melted seemed to be the fate of many a tupperware container in our house too! The Brain Munch is in progress. Its like a little dessert for your lunch…something to think on. My brain munch for this post will be recommending the movie “Convoy” Breaker 1-9, what’s your handle!

January 18, 2011 at 7:06 amLook at that vintage orange! I’ll admit I’m a touch jealous! I need to find my husband some better lunch containers to tote his food in. I’m guessing it’s high time I popped on over to ebay to see what else they have on the auction block.

January 21, 2011 at 9:54 amI have Tupperware that’s very old. I need to replace the lids I once tried contacting Tupperware about 10 years ago to see if I could get replacemenst. I was told if I want to buy new lids I could do so by having a party.
That was before E-bay so now I take a look there.
Thanks for the information.
I use my Tupperware all the time in my lunch.
