New Project: Recipe Round Up

Here’s the deal, I’m running out of recipes (browse food category for my posted recipes). I like hearing what my coworkers are making for dinner because I know whatever they are making, I can attempt, too, I just need their recipes!

To solve it, I want to host a Recipe Round Up to exchange our recipes — the twist is that a photo needs to accompany the recipe. Why? because I need to know what I am shooting for and I love photos!

What kind of recipe should I share?
It’s your choice! It can be a family recipe or one you found in a cookbook or magazine. It does not matter if it is breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, side dish or an appetizer!

Do I have to be a blogger to participate?
No, my coworkers are using Flickr. They are uploading their photos and adding the recipe to the photo’s description.

Cool! How do I participate?
I will announce the Recipe Round Up ahead of time. Participants will upload a photo and recipe to their blog or Flickr account. Then, visit www.udandi.com and use the Mr. Linky form to leave the URL to their recipe and photo.

What if I’m not the best at photographing food?
um, have you seen my photos?! (half eaten pie) Don’t worry about it!

Okay, I’m in! When is the first Recipe Round Up?
Thursday, October 16

I’m a planner, how often will this occur?
Maybe once or twice a month, depends on how much people enjoy participating!

How do I use the Mr. Linky form?
In the first box, type in the name of your recipe followed by your name/initials in parenthesis [chicken and dumplings (udandi)]. In the second box, put the URL of your recipe. If you are linking to a blog post, please link directly to the recipe post, not your blog’s web site address.

What’s the point of the Mr. Linky form?
That’s the Round Up part! By having all participants use that, it collects the links allowing everyone to follow the links to the recipes!

What about a group on Flickr?
I’ve got that covered, too! Recipe Round Up @ Flickr

    Andrea,

I linked to the seafood mac and cheese, but did not add my name or even LE. How can I do this?
