One fun aspect of my job is craft programs. Last year, a coworker gave me a tiny magazine clipping of a wine cork trivet saying I could probably figure out how to make them. She was right!
Since we celebrate Earth Day in April, I decided it would be a good month to do a recycled craft project. These are very easy to make. The hardest part is finding enough corks, that are not plastic. Thanks to a generous donation from everyone’s favorite girlfriend, Debba of Girlfriendology, I had enough corks so that each person at my craft program could use 37 corks. Then, it is finished off with a ribbon.
This example has extra little pink ribbons for Breast Cancer Awareness. You could glue a lightweight trinket to personalize yours.
