I try to use reusable bags for shopping, but I still end up with some plastic bags here and there. After my garbage disposal fell (because the previous owners did not have it attached properly), I decided keeping bags under the sink was not the best place.
Looking through my bin of fabric I found a pajama pants that I had used one leg of for a project and still had one good leg left. I chopped it off around the knee, folded it over to create a channel for the elastic and sewed a loop of ribbon at the top, which was a finish hem because it originally the bottom of the pant leg (did you follow that?!).
Very simple project that recycles clothing and creates a big solution! The bags are placed in the top of the tube and pulled from the bottom elastic area.
