Hiding Facebook Activity

In light of CPG fan-gate (what’s a catchier name?) how about a Facebook post? This might help my dad who just joined Facebook understand features to enhance and/or protect his profile.

Do you have nosey friends who look at your Facebook wall and say I saw you commenting up a storm last night, bored? I see you friend-ed that pipsqueak from third grade, ugh, I thought you didn’t like her? Did you really LIKE that page?

You can make your Facebook wall (not your news stream) look neat and tidy and void of these updates, by scrolling to the very bottom of your Facebook profile and clicking EDIT OPTIONS. The dialogue box shown above appears and you can chose which of the three you would like to hide.

In the posted image, all activity has been hidden, but it can be changed at any time.

I updated the photo. If you scroll the to the bottom of your personal FB profile, you should see edit options on the right side, which leads to that pop-up box. Sometimes it keeps loading more activity not sure how to make it stop, but eventually it will. Not sure why one wouldn’t see that.
