It’s a good thing I don’t live in Covington, because Herb & Thelma’s serves up a delicious single cheeseburger for a steal and it would be my downfall.

I’ve only ever visited on Saturdays either in the afternoon or early evening, when the hours extended past 5pm. In the few years I’ve been going, it has been owned by two different guys. The first was a customer who didn’t want to see it close when the owners retired. Then by a second family after the first customer retired.

I think it takes about 12 minutes for them to serve up a burger, which have pickle and onion and are served on a paper plate. You can also get soup or chili, bag of chips, candy bars, soda and beer.
