Valentine’s Day Containers

vdayprojects11-copy

Valentine’s Day 2010, I wrapped a mini chip container with scrapbook paper and ribbon to dress it up and store homemade cookies, which stacked nicely instead. With pinking shears, a sewing machine and a heart-shaped button, I was able to quickly transform a piece of red felt into an envelope, which was filled with more goodies!

If you’ve recently purchased canned food in a pull-tab container, you can open it from the bottom, empty the contents, clean it, refill with goodies, glue the bottom back on and you’ve transformed it into a pull-tab treat can that is so fun to open! I recommend only filling it with packaged candy or little trinkets because you are gluing the bottom back on.

Last week, I posted a decorated brie container which Amy in OHio thinks would be great for giving cookies to her daughter’s teachers.

You are so creative and talented! Wondering what’s in that envelope…. Hmmm.

Are you sure that advent post was 2008? I swore that was this year. I guess I really have been reading your blog forever!

Shannan, time flies when you’re reading great blogs like this one-ha! It might be because I have it as a rotating photo so you see it often (aka I should update those).

Most that know me, know I’m not really good at keeping secrets and have revealed the contents of the envelope…nothing scandalous 🙂
