The other week I was thinking how I am not a huge fan of Mondays, but given the economy I am very happy to wake up and go to a job that has health insurance. Also, what job isn’t made better than one with cool coworkers, especially ones who survive the last year we have been through?!
I am thankful for my parents who are wonderful in every way and taught me so much that has served me throughout my life. If not for my parents, I would not have my sister and brother who are inspiring and supportive and they along with their lovely spouses gave me my nieces and nephews who I simply adore! For my Gramma, for being a link to the past and a source of inspiration for humorous storytelling. For all those in my extended family, who are who they are!
For my sense of humor, laughter and smile, while not showcased here, they are a big piece of my personality and what gets me through every day.
For my friends who I have had from grade school, high school, college, previous jobs and are even family members! For friends like shrimpshack who live in great places and love visitors!
Being an election year, I am reminded how fortunate I am to live in a country where I have the opportunity to vote!
I am thankful for the women I have met and learned from through the Cincinnati Women Bloggers, For Deana of (Diva)logues and Andrea of MommySnacks for guest blogging for me while I was on vacation.
I am thankful for the knowledge and abilities I possess and am able to share and the hunger to learn more. What may seem so simple as being able to read and educate myself is always given new meaning when you work in my shoes and realize so many do not have it. I am thankful for the opportunities, education and desire to seek that have put where I am today!
Happy Thanksgiving!
