Lately, I’ve been amazed with the amount of ideas of food in jars. I thought it was just salad in jars (or meals in Mason jars) but I’ve found breakfast foods, desserts and pizza! Aside from canning, what would you make in a jar?
Breakfast Baked Eggs in Half Pint Jars I enjoyed this post because she talks how better eating takes planning, which is true of lunch packing. She has another post Breakfast in a Jar that shows you can put other foods in a jar and make them portable.
I shared this photo and link on the Facebook page, which is what inspired me to start looking for more food in jar posts since I already posted about salads in jars.
Single Serving Pie in a Jar These single-serve pies are made in half-pint jars and once prepared, you can freeze them until you are ready to bake and serve. Our Best Bites also provides a tutorial on how to make Peppermint Fudge Cupcake Jars
Have you tried any these ideas? What else have you seen baked in a jar?

February 16, 2012 at 1:49 pmI have yet to bake anything in a jar. I’m late to the jar game! But loving the convenience of the breakfast baked jar eggs. I may try them. Love this post.

February 16, 2012 at 11:15 pmI haven’t either, Kate, I’ve made things in muffin tins that aren’t muffins and I’ve made individual servings or dishes in my little Pyrex, so I guess I should try this!
