About

I am Andrea, University of Dayton alum, nicknamed Andi.

UD + Andi = udandi

udandi is pronounced “you dandy” and always spelled with lowercase letters.

In 2001, I decided to start my own web shop at the URL udandi.com to sell the personalized and crystal embellished tops I had been making as gifts for friends. At that time, I only knew a few other online craft businesses, but today there are thousands. In late 2005, I began grad school to pursue my Masters of Library Science (MLS) and with that transition, my online shop was replaced with this blog in January 2006 to keep track of and share project ideas, recipes and money-saving tips.

My interests include hanging with my family and friends, laughing loudly, crafting (sewing, rubber stamping, scrapbooking, paper crafts, etc), using the library to check out craft books, music and DVDs, cakes, photography (my flickr), garage sales/flea markets, dancing like no one is watching, saving money, Target and libraries of all sorts. Please use the project and food categories to find my creations and other posts of interest.

I use Amazon’s aStore to keep track of products, books, DVDs and music I like. Anything I can get from the library, I do, and if I like it enough to put it in my own collection, then I buy it.

Enjoy my blog! Please leave comments, tweet me @udandi or contact me at udandi@gmail.com if you think we can partner on something great!
