It started with painting my bathroom walls, then I decided how hard could it be to change the vanity? In an old house that does not have shutoff valves at the sink or in the basement? A bigger project than you think.
Oh and then I found out the pipes are not good and need replacing. Add in a pedestal sink that was caulked to the wall, which needed new drywall so while those two areas needing fixing how about ripping out the built-in medicine cabinet and drywall and mud that? Sure!
Not to mention a Swedish sink in an American house. Now, you understand why I took a photo when I did not have the baseboard back in?! Click my flickr-hosted photo to see all the remodeling photos so you feel like you were really part of the journey to my new bathroom.
The finishing touch is that I took a photo of a beach house while on vacation that will be hung above the toilet, which is also going to be replaced. Hope it just takes a weekend.
Can’t wait to demo my kitchen…

Wow! Your new vanity looks great. I can’t believe all that gunk that was in your pipes. We’ve been looking at the Ikea vanities. We have a pedestal sink in our half bath that we want to replace. It’s on our long list of home improvement projects….. Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to see pics from your next project.
