Upcycled & Recycled Crafts

in library, projects

2545718912_6d32d1f849_mIn celebration of Earth Day, I am going to recycle my posts to highlight crafts that that have been made from something else!

My dad gave me leftover sheet metal from duct work in his house, which I have turned into magnetic memo boards and Advent Calendars.

I upcycled my old day planner into an acrylic stamp binder/organizer and a wooden game board into a drink tray.

From cereal and soda cardboard I have made many mini scrapbook albums. I have made plenty more from cardboard and posted the photos in my projects set at Flickr.

I painted and flipped over Old Listerine Pocket Pack containers to create teeny tiny photo frames.

From grocery bags, I made a library book bag and a coin purses.

Also, I like to refinish furniture and include it in my everyday living like my craft storage center and my printer stand.

Happy Earth Day!

Hi, I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now and just wanted to say how much I love it! Can’t recall how I stumbled on it but glad I did. Thanks for posting about the Craft Menagerie nights at the Boone Co. Library. I work at the University of Kentucky and have signed up for the one in May. It’s a bit of a drive but I love to craft and never seem to find that kind of thing around here.

ah Deana, you reminded me I didn’t link to your recycle-themed guest post you did for me.

Thanks Gayle!

Carrie, knowing you would drive up from Lexington to craft with us delights me! I will be leading the May Craft Menagerie and look forward to meeting you!
