Make It: Fused plastic bag coin purse

by Andi on June 3, 2008

in projects

I mentioned yesterday that while experimenting with fusing bags I found the crinkly bags to not work as well, but I was able to salvage a piece out to make a coin purse.

Since I’ll be working 11 days, I wanted to make the most of my day off making projects and not sitting by the pool reading (or dozing off). So I walked up to the library and then on to the thrift store to get a zipper for my pouch. [Quick note: I did not spy any Dymo labelers, I resisted buying a Badge Factory but did snap up a White Castle t-shirt for my coworker]

This coin purse/pouch is big enough to hold all the important stuff I need to take to the pool and yet small enough to hide within my stuff.

Like other years, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for shiny coins and so far I’m up 5 cents. Another $2.26 will get me an ice cream cone!

Happy Summer!
